The MLS NEXT Academy Division Camps are led by Manitou FC Sporting Director Edi Buro, alongside the Manitou MLS NEXT New Tier U13–U19 coaching staff.

The Manitou FC MLS Next AD is designed for players seeking to challenge themselves in a professional, high-performance environment. Led by Manitou FC’s MLS Next coaching staff, this camp focuses on the technical precision, tactical intelligence, and physical sharpness required at elite levels of play.

Launched in 2020, MLS NEXT is the premier platform for youth player development in North America. With a strong commitment to innovation, access, and representation, MLS NEXT offers players exceptional training and coaching to prepare them for their futures in soccer and beyond. Currently, MLS NEXT includes 151 member clubs and serves over 16,000 players across the United States and Canada.

The Manitou Girls ECNL Regional League Talent Camps are directed by Manitou FC Sporting Director Edi Buro, alongside the Manitou ECNL RL girls coaching staff.

This camp is designed for girls born between 2017 and 2008 who are looking to challenge themselves in a competitive, high-performance environment.

• Three days of high-performance training and competition
• Dribbling/ball control, passing, receiving, shooting/striking, and 1v1 play (attacking & defending)

INTRODUCTIONPROGRAM DETAILS

The U7–U8 Camps are designed to create a fun, energetic, and engaging introduction to soccer, while building strong foundational skills in a positive learning environment.

At this age, the focus is on developing a love for the game, confidence in the ball, and basic soccer habits through play-based learning. Sessions are structured to maximize touches, movement, and enjoyment, while encouraging creativity and exploration.

Camp Focus Areas

  • Ball Mastery & Dribbling: Lots of touches, learning to control the ball with both feet 
  • 1v1 Play: Encouraging confidence, creativity, and an attacking mindset 
  • Coordination & Movement: Balance, agility, and body control through fun activities 
  • Game Understanding: Simple decision-making through small-sided games 
  • Enjoyment & Confidence: Building self-belief, effort, and positive habits

    INTRODUCTIONPROGRAM DETAILS

    At Shoot Stopper – Manitou Goalkeepers Camp, goalkeepers will develop the technical tools and tactical understanding needed to excel in real game situations. Training is led by a dedicated goalkeeper coach Carlos Vargas who works from inside the goal, coaching decision-making, positioning, and execution in live, game-realistic scenarios — not from the sideline.

    Our objective is simple:

    Build confident, commanding goalkeepers who can control the box and impact the game.

    Topics Covered at Various Levels:

    • Play on the Line – Shot-stopping mechanics and reaction saves
    • Play Off the Line – Decision-making, starting position, and timing
    • Diving Technique – Low, medium, and high diving mechanics
    • 3-Dimensional Angle Play – Understanding depth, width, and shooter cues
    • Tipping Over the Bar – Hand shape, extension, and explosive power
    • Dealing with Crosses – Timing, bravery, communication, and traffic management
    • Footwork & Set Position – Efficient movement patterns and balance
