Manitou FC–Forest Lake
Forest Lake Area Schools Community Education (FLASCE) is partnering with Manitou FC (MFC) to provide boys and girls in Forest Lake with the following youth soccer opportunities.
- An enjoyable soccer learning experience for boys and girls, ages 9-19
- Play on a Manitou FC-Forest Lake team in both league and tournament competition
- A player pathway that serves as a ‘feeder program’ for Forest Lake HS
- An opportunity to grow the game within the Forest Lake community
How will Manitou FC work to provide a community-based soccer program for Forest Lake residents during the year?
- A club-oriented soccer program for boys and girls ages 9-19 beginning this fall
- MFC will assist FLASCE with programming for boys and girls ages 4-8 during Nov-Mar
- Access is provided to Forest Lake residents to MFC player-coach development program
Who is Manitou FC and what do they bring to our community?
- Manitou FC was founded in 1981 as White Bear Soccer Club
- A five-member Board of Directors oversee the activities of MFC
- All technical initiatives are overseen by a full-time Sporting Director
- Club operations is handled by full-time and part-time administrators
When are tryouts scheduled?
- Tryouts are scheduled on July 30-31 at Forest Lake HS for players U9 thru U19
