U13-U19 BOYS MLS NEXT NEW TIER

About BOYS MLS NEXT
Launched in 2020, MLS NEXT is the premier platform for youth player development in North America. With a strong commitment to innovation, access, and representation, MLS NEXT New Tier offers players exceptional training and coaching to prepare them for their futures in soccer and beyond. Currently, MLS NEXT includes 151 member clubs and serves over 16,000 players across the United States and Canada. MLS NEXT New Tier gives our players the opportunity to play and train in the highest-level environments and be exposed to MLS academy scouts, US Soccer youth/senior national team scouts, and MLS/Professional scouts.
At Manitou FC, we participate in MLS NEXT New Tier for age groups U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U19. Additionally, our Pre-MLS NEXT Academy program starts at U11 – U12. Pre MLS-Next Youth Academy starts at U8 – U10.
Reasons to Participate in MLS NEXT League:
The MLS NEXT New Tier presents an exceptional competitive platform that elevates our club’s player development by introducing innovative league structures and policies aligned with Manitou FC’s ambitious growth objectives.
- It fosters a balanced competitive environment, allowing our players to test their skills against like-minded clubs.
- Players are permitted to take a seasonal break to participate in their local high school teams.
- The carefully designed league calendar empowers coaches to craft tailored annual training plans for each age group, optimizing player growth.
- Additionally, it offers crucial exposure for players aspiring to further their soccer journeys at the collegiate or professional level.
- It is recognized as the best boys’ league in North America.

Club & Team Participation Expectations
It is essential for players and parents to understand the expectations associated with participating in a Manitou FC MLS Next New Tier team. The following overviews for each age group have been created to provide detailed information, allowing families to plan accordingly. Multi-sport athletes must receive “pre-approval” from the club’s Sporting Director to be eligible to play on an MLS Next team. The MLS Next League is organized, managed, and overseen by Major League Soccer. If you have any questions regarding player expectations or need further clarification about age-group programming, please email Edi Buro, the Manitou FC Sporting Director, at SportingDirector@ManitouFC.org.
